What is a Family Resource Center?

Family Resource Centers (FRCs) provide a variety of services to ensure a comprehensive assessment of families’ needs. FRCs are not single-service sites, nor do they limit services to a specific population. ANFRC sites have open eligibility and multiple on-site services that include, at a minimum: case management, intake and assessment, parenting education, emergency services, and early intervention services.

The Family Resource Center Model is one of the most successful social service models available to communities and families. FRCs utilize an approach that is strengths-based, multi-generational, and family-centered. They reflect and are responsive to community interests and needs. Family Resource Centers encourage families to leverage their strengths to achieve their hopes and dreams.
